Airbus has secured a new A320neo order from Air Cairo, with a firm contract for 15 jets and its first direct deal for the jets.
The Egyptian carrier plans to introduce these aircraft alongside its existing fleet, which was previously built through the leasing market.
Air Cairo signed the contract at El Alamein International Airshow and intends to grow the fleet well beyond 130 aircraft by 2034. However, with just over 45 aircraft today and only seven jets five years ago, the next 8 years will bring considerable growth.
