GE Aerospace to buy precision casting specialist CPP

GE Aerospace has agreed to acquire Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), a major manufacturer of highly engineered castings, from private investment firms Warburg Pincus and Berkshire Partners.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, CPP supplies precision castings and sub-assemblies primarily to the commercial aerospace and defence sectors. Founded in 1991, the company is one of the world’s largest producers of investment and precision sand castings.

CPP manufactures complex castings from superalloys, titanium, aluminium, magnesium and steel for commercial and military aircraft, weapon systems, business and regional jets, helicopters and industrial gas turbines.

The company employs around 6,600 people across more than 20 facilities
