SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) and Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE) have signed a joint venture agreement to establish a dedicated CFM LEAP engine MRO facility in Singapore. The new venture will support LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, marking a significant milestone in the partnership following the letter of intent signed in November 2025 to strengthen LEAP engine maintenance capabilities in the region.
Under the agreement, Safran Aircraft Engines will hold a 51% stake in the joint venture, while SIAEC will own the remaining 49%. The partnership builds on the companies’ existing collaboration, which began in 2019 with a LEAP engine maintenance services
